Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the county's enterprise GIS infrastructure and spatial databases.
- Develop high-quality, interactive web maps and data visualizations using ArcGIS Online and custom web applications to support decision-making.
- Perform complex spatial analyses and geoprocessing tasks to support zoning, emergency response, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to integrate GIS data with other enterprise systems (e.g., CAD, BIM, databases).
- Mentor junior GIS staff and conduct training sessions on GIS software and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and the public.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and system administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online (ArcGIS Enterprise).
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and database management principles (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation and API integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory background check.
