Responsibilities
- Lead Spatial Analysis: Design and execute complex geospatial analyses to support water resource management, urban planning, and transportation projects.
- System Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise GIS databases and custom applications using ArcGIS and Python.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling, high-precision maps, dashboards, and interactive web services for executive stakeholders and the public.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering, civil engineering, and IT teams to integrate GIS data with CAD and BIM workflows.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and currency of all spatial data through rigorous validation processes.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS staff and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in GIS analysis, cartography, or geospatial engineering.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (ArcPy, ArcMap, Pro) and experience with remote sensing tools (ENVI, ERDAS).
- Programming: Strong coding skills in Python or SQL for data manipulation and automation.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable reports for diverse audiences.
- Certifications: GISP certification is a strong plus.
