Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update high-quality GIS maps and web applications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze complex spatial data to support critical infrastructure projects, transportation planning, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with city departments to standardize data collection processes and improve data interoperability.
- Manage large-scale geodatabases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accuracy.
- Provide technical training and support to city staff on GIS tools and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings to city leadership and the public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, spatial modeling, and database management.
- Expert proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (Desktop and Server), QGIS, and SQL databases.
- Strong understanding of cartographic design principles and spatial statistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
