Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex government information systems in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy makers and IT staff, to ensure system alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
- Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with privacy laws.
- Manage project lifecycles, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of IT projects.
- Provide training and support to end-users regarding new system implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within the public sector or a large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL databases and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA, or local open data initiatives).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel for site visits.
