Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex government policies and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Prepare high-level reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership and city council members.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor legislative updates and assess potential impacts on municipal operations.
- Develop and maintain accurate databases for revenue tracking and forecasting.
- Lead public outreach initiatives and facilitate community engagement sessions.
- Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on technical analysis methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a government, regulatory, or public sector analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Experience with government budgeting processes and financial reporting is highly desirable.
