Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports meeting funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and institutional partners
- Manage grant pipeline tracking and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with program teams to gather impact data and success stories
- Maintain accurate records in grants management software
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with nonprofits
- Proven success securing $500K+ annually in diverse funding streams
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field
- Expertise in federal (SAM.gov), state, and foundation applications
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with attention to detail
- Experience with grants management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP)
- Strong analytical abilities for budget development and impact metrics
- Knowledge of Hudson County community needs preferred
