Responsibilities
- Research and identify funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporations aligned with organizational mission
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, reports, and supporting documents
- Develop compelling case statements and budgets that demonstrate program impact and fiscal responsibility
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and serve as primary liaison with funders
- Maintain accurate grant tracking systems and ensure timely reporting compliance
- Mentor junior staff and implement best practices in grant development processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Non-Profit Management, English) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of successful grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Proven track record with federal, state, and private foundation grants
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with ability to translate complex programs into accessible narratives
- Advanced knowledge of grant compliance requirements and reporting protocols
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant management software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail and budget development
