Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to private foundations, corporate donors, and government agencies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding partners through strategic communications and reporting
- Analyze program outcomes and impact data to craft persuasive funding narratives
- Manage grant pipeline tracking and reporting deadlines using Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate with program teams to align funding requests with organizational goals
- Stay current on funding trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ annual funding acquisition
- Proven success securing grants from diverse sources (foundation, corporate, government)
- Expertise in program evaluation and outcome measurement frameworks
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and grant management tools
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio samples demonstrating persuasive narratives
- Deep understanding of nonprofit finance and budget development
