Responsibilities
- Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports for diverse funding sources
- Manage a portfolio of 15+ active grants and ensure compliance with funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and stakeholders
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations
- Maintain accurate grant databases and reporting systems
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Proven success with federal, state, and foundation grants
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Experience in nonprofit or community-focused organizations
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and impact measurement
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Knowledge of Fort Wayne philanthropic landscape preferred
