Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop compelling grant proposals with compelling narratives and budgets
- Cultivate relationships with foundation representatives and program officers
- Manage grant reporting and compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and grant management systems
- Mentor junior writers on best practices
- Analyze funding trends and adjust strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of grant writing experience with $1M+ secured
- Proven success with federal/state grant applications
- Expertise in budget development and financial narratives
- Exceptional research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, Candid)
- Strong portfolio of successful grant proposals
- Certified Grant Writer (GPC) designation a plus
