Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals tailored to each funder's priorities and requirements
- Collaborate with program staff to gather project data, impact metrics, and budget information
- Manage grant application timelines and ensure submission deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications and reporting requirements
- Build and nurture relationships with potential funders and program partners
- Analyze grant outcomes and report on funded project achievements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional grant writing experience with proven success rate
- Strong portfolio showcasing funded grant proposals
- Expertise in researching and applying to federal, state, and private foundation grants
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with grant databases (e.g., GrantStation, Instrumentl)
- Experience developing program budgets and financial narratives
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced nonprofit environment
