Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, corporate, and private foundations
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals with 95%+ success rate
- Develop compelling case statements and budgets for complex funding requests
- Manage relationships with program staff to gather necessary program data
- Prepare grant reports that demonstrate program impact and compliance
- Stay current on funding trends and regulatory changes affecting nonprofits
- Maintain accurate grant tracking system and reporting calendars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ secured annually
- Proven success with federal, state, and foundation grants
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical abilities for budget development and program metrics
- Experience with grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP)
- Knowledge of Fresno County's nonprofit landscape and funding priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and meet tight deadlines
