- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports aligned with funder priorities
- Cultivate relationships with program staff to gather accurate program metrics and impact data
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with strict adherence to compliance requirements
- Analyze funding trends and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with a 75%+ success rate
- Proven expertise in securing federal (e.g., NOAA, DOI) and foundation grants
- Advanced knowledge of Hawaii's conservation landscape and funding priorities
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate technical data into compelling narratives
- Proficiency in grants management systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
