Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, reports, and communications for diverse funding sources
- Collaborate with program directors to gather impact data and program narratives
- Manage grant application pipeline including deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and government agencies
- Analyze funding trends and identify new strategic opportunities
- Maintain accurate grant records in CRM database
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Proven success with federal, state, and foundation grant applications
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
- Advanced knowledge of nonprofit accounting and budget development
- Experience with Salesforce or similar fundraising databases
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Portfolio of successful grant applications required
