Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, corporate, and private foundation sources
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
- Collaborate with program directors to gather program data and impact metrics
- Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications, budgets, and submission deadlines
- Build and cultivate relationships with potential funders and community stakeholders
- Analyze grant outcomes and provide recommendations for future funding strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with a proven track record of securing $500K+ annually
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Proficiency with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and CRM systems
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Demonstrated success with diverse funding sources (government, corporate, foundation)
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
