Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise software applications and database systems using modern methodologies.
- Conduct thorough system analysis to identify gaps, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity across county platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsâincluding policy experts, engineers, and stakeholdersâto define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure all systems comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including strict data security and privacy standards.
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct code reviews to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party integrations to ensure seamless operational continuity.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for mission-critical internal systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, or database management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or .NET.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proven experience working within a government or public sector environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is highly preferred.
