Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex IT systems and applications to support county administrative functions.
- Conduct system analysis, root cause analysis, and implement scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR standards).
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and end-users across various departments.
- Lead and participate in IT projects, including software migrations, hardware upgrades, and network optimization.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of network architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (or pass a background check).
