Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
- System Optimization: Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex information systems and network architectures to ensure 99.9% uptime and performance.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor strict cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, department heads, and external vendors, translating complex technical requirements into actionable business insights.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose innovative solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior staff members and conduct training sessions to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, systems analysis, or project management within a large-scale organization or government entity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS or Azure), database management (SQL, Oracle), and scripting languages (Python, Java, or PowerShell).
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues under tight deadlines.
