Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with DGS strategic goals and DC government initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and vendors, to ensure seamless collaboration and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, while implementing contingency plans to keep initiatives on track.
- Facilitate regular status meetings, provide transparent reporting to executive leadership, and ensure clear communication across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local procurement regulations, as well as security standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate success metrics and drive continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within the public sector or large-scale enterprise.
- Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
- Deep understanding of government contracting regulations, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS.
- Expert proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable business insights.
