Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructure for City operations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime for essential services.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and municipal records.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technical requirements and provide strategic IT solutions.
- Manage software licenses, hardware inventory, and vendor relationships to optimize budget utilization.
- Train staff on new technologies and provide advanced technical support to end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with government compliance standards and IT security frameworks is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if required).
