Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise software solutions and database systems to support state agency objectives.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to federal and state cybersecurity standards, including FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance protocols.
- Project Management: Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirement gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison between government agencies, vendors, and internal teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and implement optimizations to ensure 99.9% uptime and data integrity.
- Tech Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military/professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, systems analysis, or IT infrastructure management.
- Certifications: Possession of or ability to obtain CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#; strong experience with SQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
