Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions and IT systems for government agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and optimize business processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and district cybersecurity standards and data protection regulations.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and mentorship to junior developers and IT staff.
- Manage and oversee IT project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to final deployment and maintenance.
- Conduct code reviews and architectural assessments to ensure system scalability and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, system architecture, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (or existing clearance).
