The Role:
You will be responsible for architecting and managing complex IT systems that support municipal operations. This is a full-time position offering the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise in systems analysis and engineering will drive significant change.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable IT infrastructure solutions for city departments.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity frameworks, including FISMA and NIST standards.
- Oversee the development and deployment of data-driven applications to streamline public service delivery.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to protect sensitive citizen data and city assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, engineering, or software development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience working within the public sector or government regulatory environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
