Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure and software solutions for county departments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve data security protocols.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement compliance measures in adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to government staff members.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee project lifecycles from conception to deployment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military/professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or software development within a government or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong expertise in database management (SQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Deep understanding of government compliance standards (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA, NIST).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
