Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect state data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for internal stakeholders and state agencies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical processes and disaster recovery plans.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct technical training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in information technology, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network security standards, firewalls, and data protection regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ or equivalent certification within one year of hire.
