Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, network infrastructure, and hardware environments to support county operations.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support to internal departments, resolving complex issues with minimal downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and budget constraints.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security protocols, data protection regulations, and IT best practices.
- Conduct system audits, performance analysis, and capacity planning to optimize resource allocation and system efficiency.
- Mentor junior IT staff and participate in on-call rotation for critical system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, PMP, or similar are highly preferred.
- Proven experience working within the public sector or government environment is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
