Responsibilities
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the City's network infrastructure and server environments.
- Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, including hardware upgrades, software deployments, and cloud migration initiatives.
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and implement robust solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with cybersecurity protocols, data privacy laws, and state government regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with department heads to align technology strategies with the City's long-term goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
