The Role:
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge and experience in network administration, cybersecurity, and IT project management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across state departments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and server environments.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and comply with state and federal regulations.
- Manage IT asset inventory and ensure all hardware and software licenses are current and compliant.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical services.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Experience with Cisco and Microsoft server environments, including Active Directory and Azure.
- Knowledge of federal and state information security standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
