Responsibilities
- Lead complex IT projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee external contractors to ensure deliverables meet state quality standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance regarding data privacy, cybersecurity, and state procurement policies.
- Conduct thorough system analysis and architecture planning to optimize our current technology stack.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
- Implement robust cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive government data and systems.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication to translate technical requirements into actionable business strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT project management, systems analysis, or software development.
- PMP or CAPM certification is highly preferred for this role.
- Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development life cycle.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check required for state employment.
