Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide IT systems aligned with government standards.
- Conduct thorough system analysis to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding data privacy and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Provide expert technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party system integrations.
- Perform regular system audits and risk assessments to maintain operational integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or systems analysis within the public sector or a comparable government agency.
- Proven experience with SQL, Java, Python, or cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Strong understanding of federal IT security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
