Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and security audits on federal information systems to ensure compliance with NIST and DoD standards.
- Implement and maintain robust network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and threats in real-time, utilizing advanced forensic techniques.
- Develop, review, and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training materials for staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the full systems development lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance and log analysis to identify potential security anomalies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Network+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Experience working with federal IT infrastructure and DoD networks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and federal regulations.
