Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the security of VA network infrastructure and systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security controls to protect federal data.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for federal hardware and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for federal compliance.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and coordinate with incident response teams.
- Manage IT inventory and ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with federal IT frameworks and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on federal regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced federal environment with strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical status to leadership.
