Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex IT systems, including servers, networks, and databases to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures in compliance with FedRAMP standards and agency security policies.
- Project Management: Lead IT modernization projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to agency staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations, incident reports, and standard operating procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to federal regulations, laws, and executive orders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service, performing IT support or system administration tasks.
- Certifications: Possession of or ability to obtain CompTIA Security+, ITIL v3 Foundation, or a similar industry-recognized certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
