Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage complex IT infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, and networking hardware.
- Lead critical projects involving virtualization, cloud migration (AWS/Azure), and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Enforce rigorous cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO) to protect sensitive county data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to optimize IT operations and service delivery.
- Conduct regular system audits and capacity planning to support future growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related technical role.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Cisco networking technologies.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, VCP, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect) is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven government environment.
