Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for complex IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and public sector standards.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to guarantee on-time, within-scope delivery.
- Facilitate clear communication between technical teams, government stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies to prevent scope creep.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies to optimize development workflows.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement processes.
- Conduct regular status reporting and performance reviews for project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) or Project Management Professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with significant exposure to the government or public sector.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology implementations and infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, cloud services, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly regulated environment.
