Responsibilities
- Lead Project Execution: Direct the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and county strategic plans.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, executive leadership, and external vendors to manage expectations and ensure clear communication.
- Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, resource planning, and timeline adherence to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.
- Process Improvement: Implement Agile and Waterfall methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance team productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet stringent government standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or large enterprise environments.
- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
