Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, from initiation and planning to execution and closure, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and external vendors to define requirements and manage expectations.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies while ensuring all work complies with state and federal regulations.
- Resource Allocation: Oversee budget management and resource planning to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Agile Implementation: Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically within the government or public sector environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
