The Role:
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, state agencies, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Your expertise will help navigate complex regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment.
- Monitor project health using Agile/Scrum methodologies and adjust course as necessary.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent scope creep and budget overruns.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with state security policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience managing large-scale software implementations or infrastructure upgrades.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulatory environment.
