Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of state IT projects, from initiation through deployment.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear communication with government officials and department heads.
- Ensure all projects comply with state procurement laws, security protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing state systems.
- Prepare detailed status reports and project documentation for executive leadership review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- PMP or CAPM certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high-level stakeholder presentations.
- Ability to obtain a Level 2 background check.
