Responsibilities
- Oversee the security posture of federal networks and ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats.
- Lead incident response planning and execution to mitigate security breaches.
- Implement and manage access control policies and identity management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security architecture for AWS and Azure environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Current Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain) is required.
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or CEH (mandatory).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security within the federal contracting sector.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong understanding of federal laws and government IT procurement processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
