Key Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal departments.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) for city departments.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Manage IT inventory and procurement processes for government equipment.
- Document network configurations and create technical guides for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and support.
- Strong knowledge of government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced public sector environment.
