Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and hardware infrastructure across state facilities.
- Data Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., FISMA).
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to government employees, resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation projects.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to strict government procurement and operational policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role within the public or private sector.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and virtualization technologies.
