Responsibilities
- Lead IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex federal IT systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce federal security standards (NIST) and implement advanced threat detection measures to protect sensitive data.
- Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end IT projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring adherence to strict federal timelines and budgets.
- Cloud Migration: Spearhead the transition of on-premise services to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure), optimizing performance and scalability.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level resolution for complex technical issues and mentor junior staff members.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical requirements into clear strategies for non-technical stakeholders and government officials.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or cybersecurity within the federal or defense sector.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust or Secret clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Remote Work Readiness: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent time management and self-motivation.
