Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal hardware, software, and network systems.
- Manage and maintain secure government databases and ensure compliance with state IT security policies (ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions and streamline government workflows.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Train government staff on new software applications and security protocols.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the central knowledge base for future reference.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with network troubleshooting, VPNs, and firewall management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Washington State Public Records Act (PRA) clearance.
