Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and cloud systems
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection, incident response, and compliance monitoring
- Provide technical leadership for cross-departmental IT projects
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurement processes
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct technology training programs
- Ensure all systems comply with NC state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience in government/public sector
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Demonstrated project management experience with enterprise systems
- Strong understanding of FISMA and NIST compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
