Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across municipal facilities.
- Implement and monitor network security measures to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for complex hardware and software issues.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing workflows.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, configurations, and system changes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment is a plus.
