Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Oversee Active Directory management, user provisioning, and group policy administration.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement robust security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new software solutions and optimize existing workflows.
- Conduct regular system audits and ensure compliance with state and federal IT regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022 and Azure Cloud Services.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to obtain a State of Texas background check and security clearance.
