Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure for government and state agencies.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security standards, NIST regulations, and agency-specific policies.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for complex network and system issues.
- Oversee network security, firewall configurations, and data protection protocols to prevent cyber threats.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and security patch management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new IT solutions and automation tools.
- Document technical processes and maintain detailed logs for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration within a government or defense contractor environment.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services.
- Deep understanding of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and security compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
