About the Role
As a Senior IT Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and securing our federal contract infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT systems while adhering to strict government security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Network & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide-area networks to ensure optimal performance.
- System Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect organizational data against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Server Administration: Manage server environments, including patch management, updates, and backups.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations comply with federal regulations and internal security policies.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical guidance and training to junior staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a government or defense contracting environment.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen and eligible for a Secret Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
