The Role:
As a Senior IT Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing complex requirements, designing robust system architectures, and ensuring compliance with federal standards. This is a permanent, full-time position offering long-term security and career progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end analysis, design, and implementation of federal IT systems and applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize detailed technical requirements.
- Ensure all system designs comply with federal regulations, security protocols, and industry best practices.
- Conduct system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for critical infrastructure.
- Oversee the integration of third-party software solutions and manage vendor relationships.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and junior development teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, specifically within the federal or government sector.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or willingness to undergo a government background investigation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and ITIL frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
